Service Description
The best way to care-take Life, is to take care of the women who give birth to Life. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the postpartum time is one of the Three Golden Opportunities that, if properly supported, can reset and rejuvenate a woman's well-being bringing even more health into her body than pre-pregnancy. Allow yourself to rest and receive the deep nourishment that is your birthright as we work to reclaim our Matriarchal ways of life and re-centre Maternal Care. Visits include traditional postpartum practices that are rooted in our physiological design as women that support deep healing and nourishment during this tender transition. Each visit includes: *One 60 min Ritual from the list below (ex. Moxabuston, Yoni Steam, etc.) *Learn self-care practices to support your womb, breast and vaginal health *Breastfeeding and infant support *Light house work (laundry, dishes, etc.) *1 handcrafted herbal remedy to support your health & healing *1 Quart herbal infusion During our time together you can expect any of the following rituals and remedies to support your health and healing and complete your rites of passage of the childbearing continuum: *Gentle bodywork and full body warm-oil therapy to assist involution of uterus, bring warmth into the body and aid postpartum digestion *Closing the bones with traditional rebozo *Learn self practices for scar tissue remediation (vaginal tears or c-section scars) *Vaginal Steaming with custom organic herbal blend *Custom organic herbal sitz bath (appropriate for the immediate postpartum only) *Moxabustion (Chinese Mugwort) treatment to bring deep warmth into the womb, tonify the uterus and abdomen, move fluid/blood, build blood, and return internal organs to pre-pregnancy positioning *Bengkung belly binding * 1-on-1 breastfeeding support and intro to holistic breast health care *Birth Integration Session *Infant support based on the physiological design of human babies *Light household duties creating ease and flow in support of the integration of your new family system Rest & Receive can be purchased as a single session or package of four. It can also be paired with the Nourishing Kitchen Meal Plan for the ultimate postpartum care experience to be deeply resourced. Many of whole-body care practices are appropriate for Mothers from the immediate postpartum up to one year. However, these services can be reclaimed during any time of a woman's postpartum journey, as postpartum is for life.
Terms and Conditions
The following policy applies to all services events and programs (in person and or online) unless a specific event or program explicitly modifies it. Cancellation Policy Overall policy - there are no refunds. Kristyna reserves the right to review refund requests on a case by case basis under special circumstances. Under this clause, should a refund be approved, refunds are subject to a administrative fee of at least 20% Registration can be transferred to another person if requested in writing by e‐mail. Requests will be reviewed and approved on a case by case basis. All requests for substitutions or transfers must be received via email at least 7 days before the booking date with the name and contact email for both the registered and replacement participants. Amendments: Kristyna Shea reserves the right to modify the program up to the day of the event. It may be necessary, due to unforeseen circumstances, to alter the program, venue and/or speakers. Regrettably, this means no refunds or credits can be issued in line with the cancellation policy. Change in Date: If unforeseen circumstances cause Kristyna Shea to change the date of an event, all participants will be informed as soon as possible and a transfer to the new dates will be offered. If the new date is unacceptable, participants can request a full refund. Cancellation: If unforeseen circumstances cause Kristyna Shea to cancel an event, all participants will be informed as soon as possible and a full registration fee refund will be made. In the event of a cancellation, Kristyna Shea accepts no responsibility for covering travel, hotel or other costs incurred by participants and guests. Inclement weather: a participant’s ability to attend an event because of weather, while regrettable, is not cause for a refund. Other Terms and Conditions All purchases made on this site form a contract with Kristyna Shea, all these contracts will be governed by the law of Nova Scotia. Kristyna Shea offers guidance and activity suggestions through our programs, however the life decisions you make and actions you take as a result of any of our programs and events are entirely up to you. Kristyna Shea, her staff, volunteers, sub-contractors and directors assume no responsibility for any of your actions or decisions following our programs and events. When booking services involving hands on treatments through this website, you are releasing Kristyna Shea of any responsibility for adverse reactions following treatment.
